Since 2016 Riya Mukherjee has also been a lyricist for Indian cinema.
Riya began this new career with a song titled “Kitne Kunware” for a short film “The Virgins” and since then has written several songs including the massive RRR hit “Naacho Naacho”.
Always an ardent Hindi film music fan, Riya finds her inspiration in legends such as Shailendra, Sahir Ludhianvi, Gulzar. And just like the name of her company, she believes in creating word pictures with her songs.
Riya has been recognized for her lyrics by several platforms. She was nominated for best upcoming lyricist at the Mirchi Music Awards 2023 and has been featured in Hungama Music’s Gamechangers in the music category of 2024.
