The Disguise is an English language short film, shot in London, written and produced by Riya Mukherjee and directed by Sandeep A. Varma.
The film stars Naomi Willow and Adriana Grigoriev. It’s an intimate film about the lives of two women who live and work in London. The film highlights issues of culture, ethnicity, racism and tolerance. The Disguise was feted at 24 international film festivals, won 11 awards and is available on major OTT platforms such as Disney Plus Hotstar, Amazon Prime UK and US, Sofy.tv and Pocket Films.

Some stories discomfort the comforted, and comfort the discomforted. A short film reflective of the times we live in, The Disguise attempts to make sense of the noise that prevails around us. Handling the issues of stereotypes and religious prejudice in a very delicate manner, creators Riya Mukherjee and Sandeep Varma are in top form. Must watch!
A very, very well designed, written and directed film. I loved the pace of the narrative.
It was an endearing watch to say the least. I really liked the premise. I wished we had more to see! The cinematography and the performances were impressive, and so was the production design. Bravo! Many wishes for the future.
